About OctoNerv

OctoNerv is dedicated to advancing post-mastectomy reconstruction through modern engineering, microelectronics, and clinically informed design.

How OctoNerv Began

OctoNerv was founded to address a well-known challenge in reconstructive surgery: the difficulty of achieving long-term, realistic nipple projection after mastectomy. While surgical reconstruction has progressed significantly, the nipple remains one of the most complex features to replicate with consistency.

The initial concept for EBNI arose from Steven’s past experience with someone he was in a relationship with who had undergone breast reconstruction. She expressed dissatisfaction with the appearance and durability of her reconstructed nipple. Although personal to her, the situation reflected a broader, widely documented issue in reconstruction outcomes.

This realization emphasized that current approaches often fail to meet patient expectations, both aesthetically and functionally. The need for a more stable, adjustable, and modern solution became clear.

OctoNerv's Mission

OctoNerv was established to explore new engineering pathways for nipple reconstruction — pathways that incorporate micro-actuation, wireless charging, and biocompatible materials into a unified implantable system. The Electronic Breast Nipple Implant (EBNI) represents the company’s first major development, offering a controlled and customizable projection mechanism unlike any traditional technique.

Our objective is to support clinicians with a tool that enhances surgical outcomes and provides survivors with a more complete reconstructive experience.

A Forward-Looking Approach

Today, OctoNerv continues to focus on research, engineering refinement, and preparation for future clinical collaboration. Our work remains grounded in real-world need, technological feasibility, and close alignment with reconstructive best practices.

We believe the future of nipple reconstruction lies in precision engineering, digital control, and long-term reliability — and we are committed to helping shape that future.
